Eligibility criteria
Nationality/citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the govt of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the govt of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.
Educational qualification (as on date of application) candidates whose result is awaited are not eligible
Second class with 55% or more (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) marks graduate from a recognized as such by the govt of India
Age as on 01.03.2010: Maximum 21 years, minimum 30 years
Relaxation in upper age limit: SC/ST 05 years; Ex-service 05 years; OBC 03 years; PwD 15 years
Application fee including postal charges (non refundable)
SC/ST/PwD candidates Rs 50/- (postal charges only); all others Rs 300/- (application fee + postal charges) including OBC/Ex-servicemen
Application fee including postage should be paid in cash at any of the bank’s branch in A/C no 0377/CA/01/702. After payment of requisite fee at banks branch, the candidates are advised to collect the payment receipt, the particulars there of are to be quoted in the application and the original receipt must be retained by the candidate to be surrendered along with the call letter at the examination hall
The candidate must ensure that on deposit of fee/postal charges, the branch issues him a receipt, which should invariably mention the under noted items (a) receipt number (TSL number) (b) branch name (c) branch code number (d) date of deposit (e) amount. Payment of application fee/postal charges by demand draft/cheques/money order/postal order will not be accepted.
Selection procedure:
All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are registered in time will be called for a written examination which will comprise of objective and descriptive papers. The objective tests will consist of test of reasoning ability, test of quantitative aptitude, test of general awareness on Socio-economic developments and test of engine language. The descriptive paper consists of 5 compulsory questions with internal options, to assess knowledge on Socio-Economic developments and communication skills. Candidates shall have the option to answer the descriptive paper either in Hindi or English. The descriptive test is only a qualifying test
Candidates have to pass in each of the objective and descriptive test separately and there will be negative marks for wrong answers in the objective tests. Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the objective test will be called for interview. Mere eligibility/pass in the examination shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview. Final selection will be on the basis of merit ranking after adding the marks obtained in the objective test and interview. The bank reserves the right, if it so desires, to hold a second stage of written examination on the basis of order of merit in the written examination of first stage, as referred above. If the second stage of written examination is held, the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit of the second stage examination
Directly recruited officers shall furnish to the bank a bank guarantee for Rs 50,000/- (Rs fifty thousand only) or a fixed deposit of our bank for a period of 2 years for the aforesaid amount by assigning the same to the bank. The directly recruited officers shall execute an agreement to serve the bank for a minimum period of 2 years after joining, failing which the officer shall be liable to pay to the bank a sum of Rs 50,000/- (Rs fifty thousand only) and 3 months pay towards notice period
Examination centres and date of examination: The written examination is tentatively fixed for Sunday, the 09th of May, 2010 at the following centres. The centres are tentative and may change

Pay scale: Rs 10000-474/6-12820-500/3-14320-560/7-18240
(DA, CCA, HRA will be payable as per rules depending upon the place of posting, Medical aid, LTC, pension, gratuity, conveyance will be admissible as per bank rules)
Probation: 2 years
How to apply:
Candidates are required to apply on-line through website www.corpbank.in. No other means/mode of applications will be accepted
Candidates should have valid email ID. Candidates are advised to pay the application fee/postal charges in cash at any of the branches of corporation bank. After payment, the candidate must collect the payment receipt, quote the particular thereof in on-line application form and retain the original receipt to be surrendered along with the call letter at the examination hall. The payment should not be made before 18.03.2010 and after 08.04.2010. Even if bank extends the date of on-line registration by one or two days, the valid dates of the payment of fees will not be changed. Valid dates of the payments also remain the same for far flung areas
After applying on-line, the registered candidates should keep a print out of the completed application for future reference
Call letters: Candidates can download the call letters for written test from website from 26.04.2010. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent by the bank by post.
